Breaking : Air France A330 missing UPDATED

Breaking : An Air France A330-200, AF447, carrying 228 pax from Rio De Janeiro (RIO) to Paris (CDG) is missing from the radar screen. It is not clear in which FIR this incident occured. The flight was due to arrive at 1115. This is the first fatal incident ever reported of an Airbus A330, let’s hope it will not be.

1. The aircraft is F-GZCP msn660 .
2. The flight has been removed for any future bookings from GDS at the moment.
3. It is reported that the flight never reached Cape Verde ATC area, which means that the flight never flew past Recife ATC area.
There are reports indicating that the pilot reported of heavy air turbulence and that the aircraft sent an automatic message indicating Failure of All Electrical Systems.
