UPS 744F crashes on approach to Dubai

A United Parcel Service ( UPS ) Boeing 747-400F aircraft has crashed while on approach to Dubai. The aircraft had reportedly declared a mayday and veered off while on approach to runway 12L.
The aircraft is N571UP, a 2007 factory built freighter. It had been operating as UPS6, and was on a leg from Dubai to Cologine. The aircraft took off at 1840L and later crew had reported a cockpit fire and declared an emergency.
Pilots on Bahrain Control frequency had reported that the crew had requested frequent updates on their speed and altitude as they were unable to change frequency and to read the instruments.
The aircraft was reportedly approaching runway 12L, but were approaching too fast and too high hence they were offered to either divert to Sharjah or join a right hand downwind for another visual approach to runway 12L. The airplane impacted ground at around 1945L.
The aircraft had crashed into a free area between highways E66 and E311 in Dubai. Both crew reportedly perished in the incident. May they rest in peace.
