European air traffic disrupted from Icelandic volcano – Updating Story

Volcanic ash erupting from the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjoll, is expected to cause serious problems to air traffic east of Iceland from the UK to Scandinavia . The disruption is expected to be caused up to FL200, with lesser impact at higher flight levels.

Heathrow has already cancelled around 150 flights.
Entire Norwegian airspace will be closed from around 0800Z today.
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport has already released a warning to handling agents regarding the closure of nearby airspaces and some flights have already been cancelled. It is predicted that the ash cloud will reach AMS by this evening.
Newcastle ( NCL ) and Teesside ( MME ) airports have already been closed for air traffic.
All London airports will be closed from 1130L , 15th Thu.
UPDATE 1040UTC :
UK airspace will be closed from 1200L.
Eurocontrol has also decided to close the airspace of
BELGIUM, THE NETHERLANDS, LUXEMBOURG and GERMANY ( part of ) with effect from 1600CET .
