European airport closure due to volcanic ash – Update
Air travel in most countries in Europe remains to be affected by the ash cloud erupting from Eyjaffjoll. volcano in Iceland.
Currently, Zurich is the only operational major airport in Western Europe.
Frankfurt Main is technically closed, but accepts a few stranded Lufthansa arrivals.
England airspace will remain closed at least till 0100 local, 17APR.
Glasgow and Shannon are currently open. Dublin might be opened soon.
French airports will remain closed till 2000 local. However CDG,ORY and LBG will open for limited arrivals between 1200-1600L.

Belgium, the Netherlands,
Denmark, Sweden, Norway,
Finland, Estonia, the north of

Düsseldorf, Cologne, Hamburg,
Berlin and the airspace around
Frankfurt, parts of Poland
including Warsaw airport.
Forecasts suggest that the cloud
of volcanic ash is continuing to
move east and south-east and
that the impact will continue for
at least the next 24 hours.
