Iberia Cabin Crew to go on Strike on 26th and 27th October
Iberia ( IATA : IB ) cabin crew will be going on strike on 26th and 27th October and this will lead to cancellation of over 400 flights due on this Monday and Tuesday .
Mostly affected will be the flights to short-haul destinations including domestic flights and European regional flights, including Paris, London, Frankfurt, Brussels, Amsterdam, Madrid and Lisbon.
Flights operated by Iberia subsidiaries Air Nostrum and Vueling will continue to operate as scheduled.
The cabin crew, formed by CTA and SITCPLA unions, has called the strike with the airline’s continued refusal to sign a collective agreement with them.
This agreement includes a pay rise for staff, whose salaries have been frozen for the last four years.
A further strike is planned on 10th and 11th November, although the state of that strike is currently unknown.
