PAS11: Day 4 – Orders Roundup

Today was the last business day of 2011′s Paris Air Show, and while it did not see as much individual orders as the previous days, it recorded one of the aviation history’s most significant orders.

Airbus
- AirAsia ordered 200 Airbus A320neo aircraft. This, the biggest single aisle aircraft Airbus has ever received is the third biggest single aircraft order the world has ever seen. AirAsia will also continue to take delivery of its existing Airbus A320 orders without converting any to the new model. The deal had originally been signed on 14th February. The airline selected the CFM LEAP-X engine for the newly ordered aircraft.
- IndiGo firmed its order for 180 Airbus A320 aircraft.
- An unidentified customer placed orders for 10 Airbus A380 aircraft.
