Photo of the Week: Rainbow Contrails and new Virgin Atlantic livery

Seeing a great photo made me wanting to call back a special edition of this old weekly feature. This week’s Photo of the Week is a Virgin Atlantic Airways Airbus A340-600. The photographer has been able to capture a magnificent effect of the nature as the aircraft passes a rainbow. The rainbow’s colours are reflected in the aircraft’s contrails.

On other news, Virgin Atlantic seems to have introduced a new livery. Coming out of the AirLivery paintshop at Manchester today was G-VROC. The new livery has a much larger logo in a different font with markings under the belly as well. The tail seems to be a bit different as well, and unless the paint job is incomplete, it seems the Union Jack has gone away from the winglets as well.
Take a look and feel free to leave a comment on any changes you notice and what you think of the new livery.
