SriLankan Looking at Resuming Jakarta, to go Daily to Rome

SriLankan Airlines is looking at resuming flights to Jakarta in early ’09 and will also be launching daily flights into Rome. However both routes are to be launched only because of Sri Lankan government’s request and commercial viability of a such operation remains a question.
The airline has not yet applied for slots at Jakarta.

SriLankan currently does not have enough equipment to cover even its current flight schedule and the new CEO’s sudden decision to dispose all the A320s resulted in this.
