If you run an LCC, work at one, or ever hope to run one, print the following and paste it on your wall ( or anywhere else that you frequently see ) .
1. I am a Low Cost Carrier. It is my costs that need to be low.
2. I am ambitious.
3. I am aggressive. I want to expand as fast as I can.
4. I will fight against the red tape to the death.
5. I will not rush to expand unless I’m sure my bottom line is fine.
6. I know that low cost doesn’t mean low quality. My brand is my king.
7. I know that my employees are my greatest asset. I will keep my focus on hiring the talented, and believing in them.
8. I dare to try new things.
9. I am confident. I will never give up.
10. I am in the airline industry, and I know that the only certain thing is uncertainty. I will be willing to change my business plan as fit.
And a bonus – I know that the ancillary revenue is important, than anything else ( and hence, I will not rush to offer free seats, unless I am sure that my ancillary revenue yields ) .
Do you know whats happening in new Thai LCC “Crystal Thai Airlines”. Sources says they obtained an A320 in October 2010. They planned to start their operation to ICN and MWX on 29/30 Jan 2011, then postponed to 3/4 Feb and now again postponed to 17/19 Feb. …………
They also says will operate BKK-CMB-DXB route.
