Yemenia Flight Crashes in Comores *UPDATED

A Yemenia flight crashed in the sea off Comores Islands ( an Indian ocean archipelago ) today morning. Details are sketchy at the moment.
But the flight possibly is IY 627 from Moroni to Sana’a, operated by an A310. 0100 HAH 0500 SAH .
The flight is also occasionally operated with 737-800s and A330s . Yemenia had four A310s, all of which had different seating configurations. Total Yemenia fleet was 10.
A local Police source informed to Reuters that they ” really have no sea rescue capabilities ” .
However, an unconfirmed source in the ground claims that the flight from SAH never arrived and it crashed in the inbound leg, making it IY626.
UPDATE 1 : IY official to CNN ” The flight was en route to Moroni “, makes it IY626 and confirms the ground source’s claim.
UPDATE 2 1130 IST/SLST: The flight is now confirmed to be IY626, operated by an Airbus A310-300 . BNO News confirmed a little while ago that wreckage has been found by a boat. No info on survivors so far.
UPDATE 3 1206 IST/SLST : Reuters India reported a short while ago quoting a Yemen official that some bodies have been found.

Aircraft involved was 7O-ADJ, built in 1989, ex Air Liberte F-GHEJ. Total 51875 hours, 17288 cycles.
